The Path to Integrative Medicine
My journey into integrative medicine was very personal. I was misdiagnosed for years with what turned out to be an autoimmune condition. While I was on the path to becoming a conventional physician, it was naturopathic doctors who truly helped me heal.
I knew something was wrong with my body, but since my labs were all "within normal limits", conventional doctors were unable and unwilling to help. Too many people, like me, are receiving prescriptions without addressing the underlying causes of their illness—and I knew there had to be a better way.
My personal experience inspired me to learn complementary and alternative therapies, utilizing nutrition, herbal medicine, and mind-body work, along with conventional approaches.
With a passion in women's health, I also pursued additional training and certifications in peri and menopausal health, determined to offer my patients a more comprehensive approach to overall health and aging.
